Does Getting A Second Bachelor’s Degree Online Or An Associate Degree Online Sound Like A Good Idea?

I mean for the economic climate. Is an associate degree even relevant anymore? And would a BA acquired online be looked down upon? I don’t think I have the money, grades, or patience for grad school.

So long as you get the degree from a traditional, brick and mortar university, or a community college, most employers probably won’t even know that you did it online v. in person. The exception is if you do it from a school that’s famous for being online or for-profit. I wouldn’t bother with such schools.
An associates or a second bachelors could work, depending on what you get it in. Since you already hold a bachelors, I’d only consider a second bachelors or an associates if:
1) you need that specific education to enter that field – so your major needs to be highly career-focused, and
2) there is demand for that field in your region.
For example, a second bachelors in nursing would be well worth it. But a second bachelors in history? Only do that if you are doing it for personal fulfillment, rather than career purposes.

Most employers aren’t impressed with online degrees. You might as well save your time, effort and money. Many graduate programs provide scholarship and/or teaching fellowships to defray the cost of getting your degree. The exceptions are generally medical school, law school and MBA programs, but even those can provide scholarships these days.

It might sound like a good idea to you BUT, to an interviewer or even a listener in a casual conversation, online “qualifications ” are ignored or even treated as a joke. Too many stories floating around about real losers with online degrees.
Don’t get your hopes up and waste your time, energy and money on ” easy qualifications “.

Associate’s degrees and “degrees” acquired online are worthless and often make you look worse to employers. You should go to grad school because a second Bachelor’s, even at a normal school, won’t help you at all.
