I am just starting and was looking for people who have tried the program, and would like to know your views on the quality of the program. Plus, any helpful tips for getting starting, anything I should pay close attention to would be appreciated. thanks

I know someone who actually received their AS in criminal justice. She loved it and got involved with her online classmates. There was a commradery that sometimes does not exist at conventional schools as you are required to group with your classmates and communicate via computer. In the end she was successful in earning her degree and attended the commencement, and finally got to meet her classmates. It was a great experience, and she even continued her education. Good luck in your endeavors.

UoP is not a degree mill. It is a regionally accredited university. However, there are definitely more reputable and lower cost options for your online degree.
When I did my research for an online degree program a few years ago. I also came across UoP. I made an enquiry and their sales tactics were very high pressure. I then compared their fees with those of others, and there was quite a significant difference. UoP is more expensive than more highly regarded and longer established colleges/universities.
My best option was Excelsior College http://www.excelsior.edu ( I graduated in 2008 with a BS)
You too should look at other options. There are a multitude of online degrees being offered, so you can choose on reputation and tuition fees. I would put UoP last on my list.
Hope this helps. Email me if I can help you further.

This university is no different from others online, it is expensive. I took one course with them and loved it despite the cost. Lelani is helpful with any questions and the courses are well laid out and easy to follow. I prefer Elearning to Blackboard any day.

I’ve heard nothing but bad things about it. It’s a degree mill. Can’t you get into anywhere even slightly selective?
